Adsense will keep on living because it's so easy to just slap up some code and get the ads to match your content. As long as advertisers are willing to pay, there will be publishers willing to take a cut. However, I feel your pain. I used to make a lot more with Adsense, sure miss those days.

as long as people still thin they can make easy money from making crap website, we will continue getting low paid rate. Google have to do anything to protect their publisher money orelse they will disappear very fast and noone will would like to be publisher.

lot of publishers will bail out due to payout getting low, but there will be always publishers who would be excited to make few pennies a day. adwords is not going to die anytime soon either and some advertisers will find content network to be beneficial. some will opt in to content network without knowing for sure. so i don;t think adsense days are coming to an end anytime soon

Well it goes both ways, protect the publisher also from cheap crap ads, that pay .01 and are also scams (work at home for 1000$ etc etc etc).

Not sure what to tell you guys... my site is up and just had it's first $100 month with a click that put it over the edge 30 minutes ago...

My CTR and CPC are both up since the beginning of the year (Mostly since roughly February 12th or so) and are showing no signs of slowing down.

It's only a $100, so I am not "rubbing it in" or anything (not much to brag about anyhow), but something is going on.. and for me, it's for the better. Have you guys changed anything since this "decline" you've noticed???

I have a site that I haven't even started promoting (besides 8 articles submitted to ezinearticles 3 months ago when I first registered the domain) - This site only gets an average of 1 unique human visitor every 2 days, and makes a couple of dollars a week. The content is pretty crappy by my standards, but it's unique. About 30 pages, total.

I've been working on a big project recently, but when I finish and can devote time to really upping the traffic this site should be a nice little income stream.

Now, would this site be making more money it were 2006? Maybe, but it's not. I've found whether it's adsense, affiliate marketing, or whatever - you need to keep throwing work into it and there comes a time when everything *clicks*
