Anti-Koran film goes live on Web

AMSTERDAM -- Dutch politician Geert Wilders' anti-Muslim short film "Fitna" is finally available on the Internet. Wilders' PVV political party put a link to the 15-minute-short on its Web site at 7 p.m. Thursday Dutch time. English- and Dutch-language versions of the film are offered at www.pvv.nl via a link to Liveleak.com.

Immediately after the news, the Dutch government went into a crisis meeting to discuss a reaction to the film. It is expected that Prime Minister Jan Peter Balkenende will give a response to Wilders' action later tonight.

"Fitna" contains images of the terror attack on the Twin Towers, the bombing of railway station Atocha in Madrid and the murder of director Theo van Gogh in Amsterdam. The film starts with a warning that it offers shocking images. The production, difficult to view because of many downloads, ends with a Danish cartoon of the prophet Muhammed hit apparently by a bomb. Wilders combines the images with various texts from the Koran, including quotes urging Muslims "to strike terror in the hearts of the enemies."

The Dutch politician said in an interview tonight on Dutch national television that his intention is to condemn the ideology of the Koran. "I do not hate the Muslim people," he stated. He also announced that his party will organize meetings in the future to start a dialogue with Muslims.

"Fitna" was originally to be presented at a March 28 press conference in the Hague, the Dutch center of politics. Due to extreme security costs, the event was cancelled.

Last week, U.S. Internet provider Network Solutions refused to host the film online.

Yeah, shame on those who left them in. They knew very well what the consequences would be after a couple of generations. It was planned.

Islam is the second largest religion in the world. Being anti any religion is pretty much moronic, be it jewish, christian, whatever.. Every religion is pretty much formed on positive principles, with the exception of SATANISM.

Facism? Anti murder of innocent people? Where are you coming up with this stuff...

Hate begets hate. Death ensues. That's currently how the world works no matter what religion you are or where you're from.

someone really should create such films just to test the freedom of speech?!

 

1. There are not just movies,you have complete studies about how Holocaust is blown out of proportion (nothing antisemite , some of them are even Jewish)
2.There is a priest ,well actually an ex priest ,who believes Jesus was Homosexual.He was really anti gay before he learned that his brother is gay.Now he has made a movement(well I don't know howw to call it else) that believes that Jesus was gay ,and Apostols as well (the most absurd part is the picture of the last supper ,with Jesus in the middle and guys in leather around Him),but no one tried to kill him as far as I know.
3.It's freedom of speech , and if you can't bare it ,than you should go live where everyone thinks like you ,where no one will offend the things so holly to you

 

Please watch that film, and I'm sure you'll have many questions. You can ask them here. I'm sure most of the questions can be answered, and many misconceptions would be cleared. In this way, even I would learn more about my religion.

I believe there can be better understanding between cultures, when we try to understand each other, and clear the misconceptions.

This movie would invoke violence, boycott, protests.... This would further dampen the image of Islam around the world. Already, all the violence in the Middle East, is blamed on Muslims. The violent tribes in Afghanistan, or the suicidal sects in Iraq don't represent true Islam...

 

Anyone dare say anything against Jesus Christ or Prophet Moses in Saudi Arabia, and it will be the last day of his life.

Well respect and shame is objectionable,and as far as I have seen in the movie he wasn't insulting Muslims ,he was just quoting Koran.And if quotes from Koran insult Muslims is it his fault?

someone should provide financial backening for those movies and lets create a balance see how people react in west when they see such movies!
