How can I get my new site quickly listed in Google?

so,del.icio.us can help in improving social bookmarking or not as till now i added my url to it but they have not added to their list?

why is that so?!!

create a link in your signature or submit to few free directories.
There is no need to submit serch engines

 

I totally agree wit him. Submitting to directories can help you to increase the popularity of your site and therefore it will be listed easily in Google.

 

You just have to wait. Also submit a sitemap.

 

i did all that but it won't help me getting to the top well how far are social bookmarking helpful ? do they count as backlinks to the website?

 

dont submit sites to google better build a link from hi PR site back to your site. will be faster.

I believe that Sitemap is the best/quickest thing to do for you right now.

Use socialmarker.com or socialposter.com for bulk bookmarking.

 

Have a site map, submit to google webmaster tools (it might help), and build NATURAL links.

article submissions are sometmes not much reliable they some times take it as their own article.
