Absolutely Dogpile is the best! Returns relevant and even fun results without the fluff, you know, the out of date articles and such. Gets my vote every time!

I personally own flashcrawler. Its like dogpile but with free email and portal pages. My results come with thumbnail features. Sign up is free. I might remove the news feature and just expand the main directory

Sorry I was disconnected. To continue what I wanted to say. I personally like metasearch engines to test your personal site results. So to speak. I have a new feature called landing page which give all results (video, images, blogs, answers etc) all on 1 page. Im not monetizing the site. I dont charge to put your site on my directory etc. Only thing I have is basic google adsense here and there.
On a side not. I think this new site "searchme" is going to be something extreme and unique. Im very impressed with it. Once he gets the images perfected it definetly will be amazing.
