Hi everyone -- Thanks for your feedback on referrals last week. We received lots of great suggestions that we'll try to incorporate in the future. I just wanted to draw your attention to another opportunity to share your feedback, success story, etc. with the AdSense team -- check out today's Inside AdSense post: http://adsense.blogspot.com/2006/03/we-want-to-hear-your-adsense-story.html This time we'd like to hear anything you'd like to tell us about your site, product and feature ideas, how AdSense has affected your life, etc. Thanks in advance! -ASA
Too bad my adsense story is a sad one for now, so im not sure they want to hear it or their kids will have nightmares.
I just reached $100 in my AS account and got 44p in my UK bank account. I'm soooo looking forward to spending all that on.... Er... What can we buy for 44p nowadays?
Right, they want our stories, but what they expect is Reader's Digest type success stories. How about the real stories about AdSense-publishers miserable life? Trying to make $$$, but ending to make just nickels and dimes. Behind every big success story there is thousand less successful story. Checking the account in every half hour ect. Let's share the real stories here, those stories that Google would not publish anyway.
A condom? Nah, we don't need that junk, we have enough with the lame "I am a poor little girl who got banned by Adsense for no reason at all" threads
Hmmm...I have adsense for only a week or so...I am still in the midst of getting my bearings and figuring out how to get more coming in than goes out. I had been advertising the site for a week before I even had ads up. I am on blogspot now, I bought the url cos I thoughtthat there wouls be more credibility. I am torn between concentrating on one site or several? Any suggestions? What worked for you?
You have to do what is successful for you. Some people run only one site with huge success and concentrate on making it very profitable. While others have success with several small sites. It is a personal choice, but no matter what you do you need to give it your all and work on it with good content so that your visitors will help it to grow. Good Luck.
I agree. Before I put up my site, I would always get pissed when I was searhing a subject and would click on what appeared to be a relevant site that turned out to be nothing but a sham (link farm or irrelevant info). I truly believe that if you create something that is quality, then you will get quality results.
You will. It just takes time. I know I am not the most patient either, but I have learned that this type of a site never grows over night. Once in a great while they do, but not for 99% of them.
My story is short yet, never receive a check...Maybe in 3 or 4 months, i have something more to share
I wonder if they want a "Started out great, but then as I got more and more traffic the CPC fell proportinally and now it's all crap" story.
Actually it can. It all depends on your keywords and the advertisers. If they are bidding low you will see a significantly low CPC. It fluctuates greatly with some keywords by week and even day. I have talked to many site owners who get a 1000 clicks in a day, but only get $40. So the niche they have choosen is a very lowing paying one. It may have been high at one time, but this does happen to some as the market for that keyword is flooded by low paying advertisers.
well, i'm having problems writing articles for one site of mine (no inspiration, too perfectionist). so i wont be having any stories to share just yet.
