How do i increase Traffic to my websites cheaply??

i have a number of websites but their traffic is to low. i want to start making money from them since i have ADSENSE, but i am not sure of how i can do this. how can increase traffic to my sites cheaply??

 

If there was a good answer to your question we'd all be doing it sadly I think it comes down to lots of hard work, good content, optimization and quality inbound links.

We've been offering free banners etc in exchange for links in order to increase our inbound links. However I've yet to establish how successful this is.

 

depending on what sort of site you have. and also depends on what you mean by cheap and lastly it depends on what you mean by traffic? I have a few sites that have over 200,000 uniques and over a million visits a month but i still think its poor and I need more.

lay out some varibles and stats in what you want and then we may be able to fill some of the gaps

Off the top of my head: comment on blogs in your niche, post in forums, use social networking sites, get into facebook, do some You Tubing, learn seo (even the basics), write a special pdf report/screencast/audio, write a press release, go stumbling, write content - then rinse and repeat ... easy, eh

 

Write at least 100 articles then submit to iSnare with the distribution service (paid option). Or you can submit to hundreds of article directories yourself if you have article submission software.

build links! find good keywords, i used 'adwords analyzer' which found me VERY good keywords...make sure your website is search engine friendly... post on blogs, do this constantly and consistantly and traffic will build up.. it has for me and i get 30k uniques a month

 

If you are looking for cheap option do SEO your site. Search engine traffics are free!

 

All the prior posts are the way to do it on the cheap. Articles are decent as long as there's a demand for the topic. SEO is definitely the best way to get cheap (free) traffic for the long term. It takes time though, so don't expect immediate results.

You can also submit your site to social bookmarking sites.

 

Ditch the crack sense and sell your own products... Why sell your leads for pennies and why do you want to build someone elses business?

For promotion of a site to drive good quality traffic (and links) I use article marketing with good results. In fact I here is the URL to a video covering a study done writing only ten articles that resulted in 9 sales:

These are free, submit to directories, not for traffic but to raise your serps for search engine traffic.

Comment on blogs, some will result in backlinks but some result in readers clicking on your url and visiting your site.

Upload a video to youtube if its relevant with the url within the vid or description. (ive not done this one) heard it can be useful though.

Cheap:

Buy sig links in forums relevant to your website.
