It doesnt matter if you are a newbie or a established blogger everyone needs some advice.

Hope you guys dont ask me who i am :p. Just look around the forums and check some of my answers. Of course, check the level of knowledge i have about adsense (if at all you want to check).

I am actually not running any commercial business related to adsense but if you want some serious professional help, i might do it for a price.

Please post your url and issues you are facing like low CTR, low CPC etc. I would post advices in this thread, so everyone reads them.

Let me start giving advice for first 5 people who post on this thread to start with. I dont know how many i can manage considering am busy most of the time.

No porn, gambling, racial, abusive sites please and yes almost forget don't bother to post MFA's. Only quality sites will be given advice.

I'd like to achieve a reasonable CTR on edutagger.com without intruding too much on the user experience. Where would be the best place to include ads and maintain a clean look and feel?

why you still dont have adsense on your site?

    1) You can use text link just below site header and pretend them as navigation links. Should get high CTR.
    2) Put 300X250 in each recipe inside the body below the title.
    3) Match colours. I always like blue and black as colours for your blog/website. These are universal web colours. Avoid using pink/red etc for text.

Your CTR wont improve unless you move your ads ATF (above the fold) Above the fold means you need to get your ads inside the content. When visitors get to the content the ads should be visible to them. Currently the ads are hiding below the content making them completely invisible to newbies.

If you want higher CTR, the ads should be always be above the fold. Of course you can run some more ads at the bottom but they wont pay much.

In adsense, the inventory is filled from top to bottom. The higher paying ads get filled up in the first adsense block and so on.

Put a 300X250 text+image ad inside your content and wrap it on the content.

    Hope that helps.

again the same issue as i always explain have your ADS inside the content.

The ads should be as close to the content as they can be. Running ads inside the blog post is the best idea. People are reading it and at the same time, they look at your ad. They like it they click on it.

Remove that large vertical banner, its useless sitting in the sidebar.

Put a text ad on top of the blog title. It should be like a navigational link.

Put a 300X250 inside the blog. Let the other 300X250 run in the sidebar. Check results and improve on whats happening.

Secondly its very important that you use channels for each ad type, to see whats converting, which ad type is getting clicks and which is not. Remove the non-converting ones and use some more creative ideas to shuffle the ads.

navigation links are perfect. Remove the ad below the post and put 300X250 inside blog post. Good luck

Thanks for your advice, i've made some changes and would love some advice on the placement of a new secondary navigation bar with Google ads (i'm yet to add any larger 300x250 ad blocks in as I don't want to ads to overwhelm the site). Edutagger.com (sorry still can't post links)

Sorry as i said, i am mostly busy with work. Ok, so had a look at your site.

    1) Please fix your templates, its not properly loading in IE.
    2) Why the large leadboard in the header? What are you trying to say to your visitors? Remove that first looks extremely horrible.
    3) Inside post ad looks ok, might want to change to 300X250 converts better.
    4) I always say this use natural web colours, avoid using abnormal text colours. Dont let people think before they click on your ads.
    5) have a navigation adsense links on top.
