My quality score dropped after 2 days of running ads? can anyone advise?

i was running ads for 'widgets' for two days, things were going good, bidding around $1.00 and making some sales.

I logged in today to find my min bid of just about all keywords jumped to $5

Can I recreate the campaign to enjoy another 2 days of low priced clicks? or should I just start building a freakin landing page?

    thank for the advice guys

how did you currently have it set up?

Common reasons for $5 bids in bad campaign structures, bad keyword selections and poor quality text ads.

i was linking straight to merchants page, besides that I was just using rocking ad text that followed guidelines.

can i start over and wait to be caught again?

no you cant just start over, it doesn't work that way.

The keyword and url combination have already been flagged. New campaign will be just the same.

    Do this

seperate your keywords put each keyword into its own adgroup as well as match type

    adgroup 1 - broad
    keyword

    adgroup 2 - exact
    keyword

    adgroup 3 - broad
    keywords

    adgroup 4 - exact
    keywords

seperate everything, including keywords, match types and plurals. Write better text ads then what you have now and continue the process.

Also what are you using for display url? Are you using the merchant url?

I am using merchant url for display.

I'm still a beginner so I am hoping i'm understanding you, as this technique is new to me.
so are you saying I should create an adgroup for each keyword....

    like this:
    adgroup1 - 'buy widget' BROAD
    adgroup2 - 'buy widget' EXACT

adgroup3 - 'get red widget' BROAD
adgroup4 - 'get red widget' EXACT

should I create new ads for each adgroup focusing on the keywords?

What exactly do you mean by this:
    I really appreciate your help

    yup

    yes of course

paper and papers should not be combined into the same adgroup

This technique is known as 1 to 1. 1 adgroup for every keyword. Its a little bit of an older model but its effective and its 500% better than the ancient technique of adgrouping 3 match types under 1 adgroup and with other keyword combinations.

Master this technique, then you can get into clustering keywords.
