I remember I downloaded the beta version of Safari for Windows on my desktop, and it wasn't that bad overall. However, it did have a few rendering issues of one of my favourite sites I visited, which I believe was AJAX or something. Safari state they are the best browser in the world, but I'm not fully convinced. I don't see them going head-to-head with some of the dominant Web browsers such as Windows Internet Explorer and Mozilla Firefox. Just my opinion anyway, but still seems like a generally satisfactory browser. Just a note, however, the one thing that is a valid point is that apparently they passed the acid2 test which is something FF3 hasn't done yet.

K-meleon beats Safari, FireFox, IE, NetScape, God, Satan, Opera, The Phantom of the Opera, and Karl Rove.

Uh, K-Meleon uses the same rendering engine as Firefox. Netscape is a dead project.

Macs, and hence Safari, are geared toward publishing, hence the different look to the fonts. A Mac user would say they don't like the text on Windows. But Windows is geared toward documents.

iTunes apparently auto-installs Safari now. Mozilla's CEO was complaining about it this week. Bad apple!

I've been using the new safari a bit and I really like it. Definitely the fastest web browser I've ever used. Memory usage ain't the greatest but it does OK. One bug I've had so far is I can't connect to /cpanel/ or site.com:2082

I did some google'ing and it seems to be an ongoing issue. Seems kinda strange.

FF will always be my favoutite.. i can't live without most of the addon packed FF! i've used safari... and like all apples stuff.. i've really disliked it...

i think its quite ironic how we campaigned for firefox to beat IE, now its big we campaign to kill it?!?!

kmeleon is the bestest browser in the whole widest world!

Actually, it uses less memory, loads faster, and totally beats the ever-loving crap out of IE, FF, Safari, Bob Dole, Prodigy, and AOL at once, and then it drop kicks Chuck Norris.

K-Meleon uses the same engine as Firefox. It is much lighter though and does run faster. No way does it drop kick Chuck Norris though.
