How do you get inspiration?

I used to to copyrighting for around 4 cents per word. I found that after a while it got boring so I decided to write unique content on my own website. I have written many articles so far however recently I have become semi-unmotivted. What do you use for inspiration when trying to fill your site with content? Thanks in advance.

Just have to love what your website is about. For me, I make the content for it in my spare time (middle of class when bored) then when I feel up to it I either scan my art or type it up in Word and make a page for it.

I try to think about other things, enjoy the stuff that I like, and learn new stuff, and try to integrate that with your work

U need to write or talk about stuff u love the most, more than anything in this world. Then u will see that u are always interested to write about it. Also, monetizing ur site might give u a little more motivation as u can see ur efforts reaping good money... :D

Look at other articles related to your niche, read magazines within same niche, watch TV, listen to talk radio, ect.

I sometimes get burned out from writing for other people. Doing a bit of design in Adobe Illustrator or Photoshop gets my creative juices flowing. Then I feel excited about writing again. Reading a good book helps too.

Tips articles are always good (10 tips to....). You can do tips for newbies, intermediate and expert level for your subject. Product reviews will interest people. Hot topics related to your subject, like current events and things like that. A lot of it can depend on your style -- some people like to take a very confrontational and attitude-like approach to their writing, I tend to be more positive and friendly and give useful info when I write. :) Reading favorite blogs can help and see what others are talking about, that can be very helpfu. :)

Well, some great tips on here. To add to all that, watching a little porn can really freshen you up. Seriously; I'm not kidding.

If you're not the type, you could listen to some nice music. What I personally like to do is head on over to http://www.thebestpageintheuniverse.com and read some articles for a laugh.

P.S: It's not my site... though I wish it was. :p

The first thing I'll do is get off the computer. If I'm staring at the computer screen wishing I were done writing, I'm not being productive. So I might go for a walk at the park down the street. I also like to write at different times of the day. I'm usually more productive in the mornings and try to do most of my work then, but if that isn't going well I'll get some writing done in the evening. If I'm writing for myself, I'll write using pen and paper instead of on the computer.

If nothing works, I'll just smile and write.

I use the squawking parrot out in the trees for inspiration. It drives me nuts. Gotta keep working.
