from the posts here I learned this techniques for SEO: 1. Content 2. Article Submission 3. Link Building 4. Digg & Stumble 5. Posting on Forums (placing signature on forums) Please correct me if I am wrong...
1. Content - This is probably the most important factor, consider the whole point of search results is to provide "content" to the searcher they are looking for of the most value. 2. Article Submissions - These can yeild results, but if you pertain to #1 you would want all content for your website, not for another to obtain a backlink. This can also eat into your time that could effectively be used on other things. 3. Link Building - Right after content this is the second most important thing, backlinks are a big factor in search results. Remember, you want quality not quanitity when it comes to sites linking to yours. This can usually pertain directly to #1 again because good content will get natural links. Relevancy of the site linking to you is another important factor. 4. Digg & Stumble - I feel digg provides better results than stumble, most stumble users view one page and leave off it, driving down CTR with your advertising products. Digg provides visitors who are generally interested in the dugg page; unlike stumblers who are randomly sent to websites. 5. Posting on Forums - This is more of a traffic technique in my opinion, yes the signature links do provide some SEO value, but it's very little. This is because of all the outbound links usually in each thread page, and usually the non-relevancy of the forum itself. However, they can drive targetted traffic to your site.
Interesting, Keywords aren't listed in the top 5? I'd say keywords and keyword optimization are among the top 2 for SEO along with links and content
Quality of links Original Content Great on page SEO .... do keyword research and use the target keywords in the Title tags Quality directory link... Yahoo, DMOZ, Business.com Press Release are great links as well. Good Luck
My dear Friend All above tips are general but very effective. You can't only depends on few but you have to implement many tricks to be top in google and other seach engines. On page factors are very important but why you forget to focus on off page factor. Both altogether make sense otherwise it is worthless to concentrate only on one factor. Cool Mate and Enjoy your day
Stumble they have nofollow links so it won't help in SEO ... it will get you good quality traffic but no help in search engine rankings !!
Well a not to do is keeping hidden text (something like the description in your blog (resize the blog title's font ))
