    Is e-gold dead?
    Basically ALL major exchangers of egold (icegold, omnipay, etc.) are all closed down now, they wont allow out-exchanges, and only rarely do some allow in-exchanges

    The amount of people accepting egold has gone down a lot, ebullion has gone way up...

    I tried to cash out my money from egold and nobody allows it anymore unless i pay outrageous 10% fee! They used to PAY you money to sell them egold...

    Then there is all this stuff about the US government going after egold and threatening to shut them down...

    What do you think, are they dead? Should i switch to other payment processors?


    i hope moneybookers fills their void, because i really really hate paypal

    E-gold has been around for a while now and has survived attempts to shut it down. I think they will still be around for a while.

    I heard e-Gold is too confising to understand as they deal with real gold! No serious they do. I got an aaccount set up with them but aint bothered to use it.

    More people using Paypal or Alertpay does not mean that E-Gold is late, I just visited the site yesterday, alive and kicking. E-Gold has an advantage that it does not have charge back, this is something that Paypal can't match. Each of the processors have their own unique advantages, or else E-Gold will not be surviving till today.

    Also note that if you have E-Gold stored in your account for the last year, you are making a big profit on the appreciation of gold alone.

    This is what the situation is and it IS ture that more pll are using paypal & alertpay. E-gold is late not all but majority know so - dont know where u got ur stats from though.

    I can give all the info in the world - that would not change your false stats you keep giving! E-gold is dead and unless your a partner / wroking for e-gold to support the firm youd know theyre dead! Everyone knows Paypal is more popular than e-Gold!!!!!!!

    First of all, what false stats am I giving? Where are my stats in the first place? Secondly yes, everyone knows Paypal is more popular, this is undeniable but still why accuse me of something I had not done?

    Also why should I be supporting E-Gold? They are a third party payment processor thats it.

    E-Gold is still not dead and still a big payment processor in digital currency market........

    but i will recommend you to use Moneybookers because they have a much good reputation then E-Gold.

    Egold is almost impossible to outexchange now.

    Liberty Reserve is becoming hyip currency and will probably replace Egold...

    I believe it will live for a while, but slowy die out,

    in the black market world, egold is really popular compared to paypal, as paypal is to easy to scam with.

    Nope, e-gold is alive and kicking for me. I use it, i have over 150 usd in it. The one thing it has that paypal doesn't is that you can't chargeback.

    That is one thing i love.

    I use egold and paypal, they are both ftw.

    Actually thats the most important thing, cant charge back. The only thing that puts it ahead of Paypal, its other functions are definitely below that of Paypal.

    It's not dead yet, but it will die sooner or later. This could take another couple of years.

    Someone was mentioning e-bullion as a safe heaven for your e-currency, but their business is also located in the USA. It's not that safe to me.
