I have a website about myspace graphics and i want to know if it's possible to get a lot of traffic from STUMBLE UPON, and also i want to know if my revenues will increase a lot too.
well, you will get a lot of traffic for sure but the traffic from bookmarking site doesn't convert nicely, SAD BU TRUE...The comment and profile generator can be virally marketed ... One of the easy medium is hat post comment in your friends profile of myspace ... and when they click they will be safely landed. I m doing same for my profile forum and got a lot of members in a week...only 39 but that's enough for me with my effort and will be working hardly after 1 week.
stumble upon is very good for new websites to make people familar with the site. It is a free advertising for sites if used properly.
Stumble Upon has been getting up the traffic charts on the social bookmarking space, but still not there with Digg. The main idea would be post relevant news and bookmark with relevant and catchy title and description. beacuse that matters a lot!
stumbleupon is a great way to generate traffic,u'll need to 'i like' many times after which u'll get a few visitors everyday even if ur added sites dont get any i likes from other stumblers, plus the sites which show up r very innovative and interesting as well..i prefer it to digg
You can get some free traffic by doing stumble exchanges. Your content must be relevant for the SU audience though (mainly entertainment). Otherwise they will just leave within a few seconds.
In my experience, traffic from social bookmarking sites doesn't convert well. It's not targeted enough. So now I use social bookmarking sites for the AdSense potential, which isn't all that great either. I get lots of page views, but very few people click the ads. Can't figure out what I'm going wrong.
I used stumble upon for a day on a PR 1 site and i got 150 uniques from it. All i did was stumble a bunch of my articles and posts and just wrote good reviews with relevant tags. Seemed to work a dream.
If you have a forum and someone makes a really good thread with something entertaining like a video then sometimes its ok to stumble.
