1.000 uniques/day - how to monetize?

    Hi

Got this one website that receives 1.000+ uniques/day. I want to monetize it, but, i can't use Adsense. I can but i won't.

    Ideas?

    - Create a PS3 Games (ex), big banner on major site, and get the traffic to the PS3 to buy games (afilliates)?

Other ideas? It's a shame a site with traffic and it's not monetized.

Try The Rubicon Project. It optimizes your sites advertising automatically - here's a link to a post I did about them: Rubicon Project Review

You should try it out for a few days and see what your eCPM is, then sign up for Adsdaq and set your cpm to a few dollars higher than that and set your Rubicon Project tags as backup tags. Therefore, whenever the high-cpm ads aren't displayed, your Rubicon Project ads will be displayed. Here's an Adsdaq review.

It's in beta which is actually a good thing right now because they aren't going to take a cut of your profit (I assume that's how they'll make money out of beta) yet. It's still gotten me a lot more money than a single ad network and I honestly have to highly recommend them. I think the stats were a 50% higher ad revenue average for publishers.

Use affiliate programs like Linkshare or Commission Junction. Another idea is to get a Clickbank account and search their marketplace for ebooks that cover the same topic as your site. Create promos or previews of the ebooks.

Start offering a newsletter so that you can increase the value of your Website by building a userbase. You can then use your newsletter to gain additional revenue.

If your site grows even more, consider using Google's Ad Manager (should be out of beta in a couple of months) to manage your ad inventory and to use DoubleClick ads to fill your unused inventory.

    Good luck!

    Two / three other ideas:

    1. Sell an ebook you've written.
    2. Sell an ebook someone else has written via an affiliate program.
    3. Sell a handful of "sponsorship" links.
