Yeah, I made a newbie blunder by posting in the forums. I didn't consider it spam, because I made a meaningful reply ending with my url.

All I can say is lesson learned, and I need to continue to learn. I have only been a webmaster for a month.

When you see the amount of make money on cl schemes floating about involving the affiliate dating links etc .

Im not surprised you get hounded. Anyone using cl as it should be must be sick to death of these ads & messages popping up. It used to happen on yahoo chat before they overhauled it.

CL has been marketed to death. Unless your cute or clever move on to something thats not saturated.

    ianternet,

Putting one ad at a time on CL is no big deal. What I'd like to know is how to put multiple ads on without getting flagged. It would be nice to find out a simple way of doing that. If anybody can answer please do.

Some people really use some very wicked ways of making money on craigslist by thinking out of box. :)

I have two services/sites that I have marketed on craigslist. I think both have been quite successful. I think it really depends what you are selling/marketing. There are some websites that simply won't work on Craigslist.

I have to agree with the others. I've tried dozens of ways to make money from CL, and still have made squat. In the bigger markets - you have roving TOS squads that get your link shut down in a heart beat

I definitely agree with that. There is nothing to be gained by entering a saturated area.

Marketing something on craigslist isnt supposed to be 100 for 100, if you post 100 ads and get 5 sales than is it worth it?

Don't use forums at CL here, but use CL and it's OK if you keep up with and follow the rules. Sounds like the CL forums are a bit like eBay's, full of many people who sit around and gripe all day :( So just ignore those bad apples.

Maybe post questions like that at Yahoo Answers and / or other places like off-topic areas of niche forums that have better reputations like here...

PS - -Don't know how to get a motorcycle license or I'd sure help. Sounds like a neat thing to do with Spring coming up! Found this link just now 4 U:

I don't have any experience with the craigslist forums. But I have placed ads and they do pretty well. Sometimes it takes multiple revisions of wording to get traffic and avoid being flagged.

If you have the right idea, and market it right to CL visitors, it could be a gold mine.
