esyndicat installation problems

Discussion in 'Directories' started by gingimaster, Mar 19, 2008.

Last week i purchased a directory license from Esyndicat.
i was planning to host it on Godaddy, on a free hosting plan i got when buying the domain for the directory.
As i'm still a newbie with limited knowledge of this, they were supposed to install it on Godaddy.
It seems that the guys over at Esyndicat can't install it over there...
So now (yesterday morning) they offered me to install it on intelliwebhost freely for 3 months and then start paying for it (7$/month). I get the feeling they will eventually do it... some day... i think

I'm starting to get a bit pissed off as i still have nothing from them.

Do these things happen regulary with them?
Can anybody pm me with explanations on installing it myself (i get lost with the database) .
Or should i simply ask for a refund from paypal and find somebody else?

    thanks

Did you pay esyndicat to install it for you?
Did you think about this and ask them before buying it?
Why can't you host the site elsewhere?

When i first asked them a question, they offered to install it on my hosting account free of charge.

hosting it elsewhere is not such a big a problem, it just annoys me.
when they offered to install it on another host i asked them if the problem was due to it being a free hosting plan. their answer was : "i hope so"

that's why i'm starting to get a bit suspicious

You obviously don't know much about the "Team" over at eSyndiCat.
    Good, honest group of guys.

    @ gingimaster
Why don't you just a real "Paid" host. You can't afford $4 dollars a month?
If not, you're in the wrong business.

I totally agree with that statement the team at esyndicat are very professional and honest people. They always tell u things as they are and would never try and cover anything.

they would never tell anyone anything to just get them to buy a licence. regarding installation the offer every licence holder free installation and db migration.

Did I say anything different? I asked a simple question which was aimed at the OP, not you or the rest of the people esyndicat appear to have sent here to chant for their honesty.

I accepted to host it wherever they want.
    4$ a month won't kill anybody, it's not a problem.
I had 4 "hosting credits"left with godaddy and thought why not using it? when it didn't work i offered of taking a paid hosting plan but they couldn't tell me if it would work or no.

It's just that i would expect such a "professional" team to be able to do it in less then a week and offer a response a bit more professional the "i hope so".

They might be the nicest guys in the world and the company with the best customer care in the world, but everybody f...-up every now and then.

It's the truth. Plain and simple. Honest folks. :)

By the way. It's seems like your job is to promote phpLynx.
    Your own words.

dog222, maybe you are right, but in this thread our first priority should be solving op's problem. you're going off-topic, imho.

Installing esyndicat should be pretty simple like any other script. Maybe its godaddy which is causing compatibility problem.

    Hi all,

We do offer free installation and we just require a regular LAMP hosting for our software to perform the installation. No need for our hosting (intelliwebhost.com is the property of Intelliants company) if you think it's expensive or so.. You can find a hosting from a resellerzoom.com or any other hosting company...

I suppose you were confused by a timezone difference so we usually reply when it's night in the USA. The guys have created an account for you and they should get back to you asap. Besides, you will have to point your domain to our DNS and I think it will take 24 hours to get them propagated.

Just a clarifying of our services.. We do offer FREE INSTALLATION and it can be done within 24 hours if we have all necessary correct information - ftp and database details..

We also offer FREE UPGRADE from free to Pro version and FREE life time updates and support :)

Yes, we would not recommend to use GD hosting though we really have some customers that use our version on a free hosting.

and thanks for your feedbacks :) positive and negative

That's a nice way of putting it I suppose. I call it outsourcing to India who are often very much better and far cheaper. ;)
