DP sig links - good or bad?!

    Not quite like that, though I can see where the confusion might come from!

    I was actually about to change the links anyway - the sites I mentioned have several thousand backlinks, including a number of PR4s and PR3s

    I might need to look in to the suggestion that they've been penalised for paid links - there may be some links in there that are dodgy...

    Incoming link can hurt your position.... If that was possible i hole bunch of seos will submit your site to shit lists to out rank you

    DP sig links will give you more good than bad. you got some backlinks and some visitors from it. you should check more stat of your traffic. XD

    just think. If incoming links were a bad thing what do you think would happen? Blackmailing competitors. The only thing I can think of is that google would simply not count a link if they smell something fishy.

    Don't forget the traffic that DP sig links send. I received 87 unique visitors from DP last month. Granted, that's a small percentage of total traffic, but it's 87 visitors monthly that I might not be getting if I ignored signature links as a source of traffic.

    Though Digital Point Forums are always positive the weight it is given is small because of the number of outgoing links per page. It is my understanding that PR will be passed fractionally to all these links, making its PR push weaker.

    lets look at it this way. go under BST forum and see how many sig links are being sold. some single sig link is being sold for as much as $100 or more per month but there are lot of sig links being sold for $30+. if they didn;t make any difference, would anyone pay for them?

    We have never experienced any negative results from DP signatures. This seems to be the general message from other posters, so any negative impact is probably due to other circumstances.

    I've only had positive results from Signature links.The more I post on DP, the more pages of my sites I see Google included in the index.
