I've found that you can market the hell out of a piece of crap, and it still won't get you far. You have to start with something, anything that people are trying to find, develop a unique version of something in that niche, something that people will have a difficult time finding anywhere else, and market that. If you can't find a unique niche, and you have to dive into a semi-saturated market for your "thing", you sure as hell better make people think that you're the best at whatever your "thing" is, and do everything you can to give off the appearance that you're number 1, even if you're not at the moment. Market that thing, (as long as it's marketable) with everything you've got and you'll be successful. I used to think this racket was easy...and I've learned that you have to put in the time...and most of all..be patient.

Here are two reason why I think people fail to get at least 1k per month?

    1. Too lazy to start up a project and stick with it until the end instead of just jumping everywhere and got nothing done.
    2. Afraid to take the risk.

97% percent fail because they not plan and no proper schedule to follow.Move blindly and wasted time with unrelated thing..Consistently and speed is important this is like war..look at General Romel how they push and push in blitzkriegs German Campaign so fast to conquer..Same if you have already tool, good software, knowledge and skill .:)

Well, 97% failure is actually fairly common in all businesses. The fact is, most people start business expecting to make easy money, and it takes real time and commitment, and then they give up.

I disagree with the OP's post, focus too much on one thing and you risk not only being stuck in a rut but never admitting to yourself that your current efforts are just not working, you must diversify your approach, not focus hard on just one thing, you become blind and lazy that way.

Get out the comfort zone, stay up late, trial and error, some things work, some things dont.

100% agree with pipes. diversify is the key. in stock market, everyone suggests about diversifying your portfolio. same applies here as well. have few things in diferent niche going at the same time and some will do better than other. overall, you will find some success rather than holding on one thing and risking not getting anywhere

    1. They are too stupid.

    2. They are too lazy; they procrastinate.

Very good post. I tend to agree with focusing on what you're good at and moving on slowly to the new project as you go on.
