Where Can I See How Many Backlinks I Have For Free? I'm looking for a relatively easy search. Something I can just type in my url that searches either google, yahoo, etc...

    Thanks,
    Michael

Try searching in google "link: yoursitename dot com".

Also, if you register for googlewebmaster tools, and you want to promote your site, or you just started with the promotion, don't add it to their index trough the webmaster tools! Just don't.

Google Webmaster Tools is definitely the most accurate backlink checker I've used, and is available to any webmaster. Any website tool or search engine command for checking links always shows considerably less than what you actually have, in my experience.

Yahoo Site Explorer generally shows about double the amount of links that Google Webmaster Tools shows.

Yahoo SiteExplorer is for yahoo search engine and Google Webmaster Tools for checking backlinks in google search engine. Well, they show only those result which the robot crawl but many of them are in under process and search engine bots are not access or show them accurately in results.

There are many resources available on the net for checking the Back Links for any site.

You can use any of the following Tools:

    1) Google Webmaster Tools
    2) Yahoo Site Explorer
    3) www.backlinkwatch.com
    4) www.tech-faq.com/who-links-to-me.shtml

These are some resources and can be utilized for checking the Back Links for the site.

    Hope you solve your issue!!

Well, Back links can be found with the help of any tool for your website like iwebtools.com but i have not used some other tools. Results coming from any tool does not confirm manual results...

I recommend getting the SEO firefox plugin tool as it allows you to check backinks from a number of different search engines.
