BANS --- This Account Suspended

looking forward to the site coming back up, i've only just got into bans

 

Hmm... I'm currently getting a 404.

 

It seems that the domain nameservers transfer is causing different results in different geographical areas.

There's about 30 people logged into the BANS forum at the moment although I just spoke to someone in North England who is still getting the 404 error.

Strange I know but true nonetheless.

Your best bet is to clear your cookies and try again shortly.

Yes it appears to be down again. Although, on the bright side, if my memory serves me correct, I believe Kelvin said it would take a day or so from now to transfer onto their new dedicated server.

Meanwhile I guess we just take the ups and downs.

 

yeh, it seemed like it was working fine earlier, ah well, i'll just start making my 3rd bans site in 5 days

Status of the bug fix?

 

Looks like as of 11pm EST in the USA, BANS is dead again with the ACCOUNT SUSPENDED message again

Yeah...same here almost 12:30/midnite hour Eastern now. Woulda thought they/their host would have left up their 'repaired' site until new DNS settings to new server resolved.

Another of several Reasons for mirror sites, eh?

 

Yep...down for me too, although I was able to log in briefly this afternoon.

 

Their site still displays the "Account Suspended" message. My BANS sites are also non-functional at the moment, I assume these problems are related?

Kelvin thanks for your post about the affiliate changes at eBay, I was wondering about that when I got their email this morning.

According to all the previous posts / emails from Kelvin based on the first shutdown, you should still be able to log into your backdoor/ admin accounts. i worked on couple of BANS sites over the weekend while they were down.

i'm having an SQL set up problem now on a brand new installation of V3.0, [Could not connect to the MySQL server. Please check all of your details!
(MySQL error: Access denied for user ...]

but it should have nothing to do with BANS being down (right Kelvin?); i think it's about MySQL configuration and/or HTACCESS file and/or being a sub-domain of an add-on domain.

but having read a couple posts previously someone saying they had been told a hostgator server had been hacked.... now I dunno what to think...

amazing how easy/fast to become dependent upon BANS forum to problem solve.

 

As illustrated our server is still extremely volatile.

Our new dedicated server was configured a couple of hours ago and we are in the process of transferring everything over.

BANS will be up and running on its new home pretty shortly.

Lpsider - we held back the bug fix when we were still operating last night because we didn't want to place any more pressure (ie bulk emails and mass downloads) on the server than we had to. Once we're active on our new server the update will be released.

likinisolutions and rad1 - as stated earlier on in this thread - bar the welcome message on V2.0 admin panels there is no connection between buildanichestore.com and your own BANS admin panels. You can build and develop your niche stores as normal and any problems you are having will be independent to you. Once the BANS forum is back up post your issues and they'll be resolved.
