Does Google traces your phone number?

IMO, Yes. That's why you can't make invalid clicks even if you format your PC, delete cookies, change PC, etc.

I would say you need to take the tin foil off your head.

Google would need court orders to trace your phone. In addition, most of us don't use the phone lines for internet nowadays.

No, I don't think it does. It's just there for reference purposes I think.

The average ADSL connection is rather complicated, and makes it impossible to extract a customers telephone number from a hostname or IP address. By the time your page request reaches the Internet there are is no personally identifiable information present. Unless Google paid major ISPs to install some rather expensive equipment, then no. Hostmasks/IPs can provide a semi-reliable method of identifying someone should you format your PC though.

IMO the last 6 months worth of logins for GMail, Blogger, Picasa, etc would give Google a much better idea of the computer(s) you use, where/how you use them, and whether or not substantial ad clicks are coming from those machines.

i think they wouldn't waste their time tracing the phone numbers of someone else's because there's anonimity on the internet, what if you put the phone number of your friend or someone else? tracing phone numbers is just a waste of time IMO.

It is possible to trace most IPs to a phone number, dial-up or otherwise... but as someone previously posted, it would require a court-order for every individual trace.

Plus, with how inefficient corporations are nowadays, it would likely take at least a few days :)

*Never* use the washroom at the Googleplex! They will extract your DNA from any pubic hairs that land on the rim, extract the DNA, and create an army of clones to come after you. Since they already have your phone number and address, they will find you and torture you and kill you and take over the world!!!

    Seriously. Take off the tinfoil!

Yes, I believe Google traces your phone number and address to be precise.

That pretty much seals it. If cpvr thinks it's true, it pretty much has to be false.
