Blogspot.com - Google indexing problem

I currently have 3 blogs on blogspot.com. Although they are older than 1 week, none of them is indexed in Google.

Indexing should have been done in a couple of hours...

I also have 2 old blogs(on blogspot, too) but I haven't written on them for a while, and they are not indexed by google, too... and they are 3-4 months old.

Are my newer blogs going to have the same faith? I chose YES for "Add your blog to our listings?" and "Let search engines find your blog?".

Please tell me, what is the problem?

    Thanks in advance!

I am worried about those 2 old blogs that I have and although they are 3-4 months old, they are still not indexed by google...
I talked to other blogspot.com users and their websites were indexed within a day...

In my case there is couple of weeks/months...

Is there any way in which I can make a manual indexing?

Is there any Search Engine Optimization I need to do ? Or if my site is hosted by blogspot, there is no SEO needed?

you need to use google webmaster to hasten the indexing. then join either entrecard or any other social website. Stumbleupon and digging the site the fastest way to get it index. Usually in a day or 2.

Don't worry about it not being indexed, it's usualy best not to submit your site until you have a lot of content imo so your users have something to browse around not just the odd post or 2.

To get your blog indexed, add your site to your forum signature here on this site or on other forums..
Also make sure you sign up to Google Webmaster Tools So that you can monitor your sites progress within Google over time, this is FREE. Tied in with this you should make sure you create a Sitemap and submit it within Google webmaster tools, and also create a Robots.txt file to make sure you don;t get penalized/banned by Google.

Also you want to build backlinks to your site which means posting links on other sites which link back to your site, e.g on forums, blog posts, sharing links, directory submissions but don't spam.

Also make sure you are writing new content weekly and your blog will ping Google every time a new post is made.

Last but not lest you can Submit your site to Google, click the link. Although Google Webmaste Tools will do this for you anyways i think.

Welcome to My second posts on DP,

Here was my experience, I have created more than ten websites (i am a newbie though) and 9 of them have not been indexed even though they have now been one year old. I have posted advertisement and introduction on 4-5 forums to drive people in and a lot of them came in through those links but they never been indexed by Google.

Here is what happened, 99.5% of the people that came to my website were from only 3 referral websites and only 0.5% type my website directly. I never got indexed. I submitted my sites to search engines and have them authenticated but still never got indexed. So i just kept waiting and waiting.

Recently, The recent site I created was five days ago has already been indexed within 4 hours. What I did was not only submitting my site to search engines because they are way too slow. Instead I create backlinks on posts, signature, and stuff. Moreover, I submitted my site to webdirectories (over 30 times)

What I have learned was that the more you can make other people link out to your site, the faster crawlers will learn about you. Remember even though crawlers won't crawl your site so soon but that's because they are crawling some other sites. If those sites that are being crawled do have your links crawler will recognize it and come.

    Good luck

Yes backlinks will certainly aid the process, with Blogspot and Wordpress indexing should take place quickly if it is being pinged after a post, even without backlinks imo.

Oh yeah regular ping will also help. Try to ping only when you have updated your content though. Otherwise, too much will make crawlers mad!

IMO Try blogpinger. I'm using it. Look it up at Google. a bit hard to find but there have been people uploaded it for free.

I have added the sites in the Google Webmasters Tools and added a sitemap.
    I added atom.xml, i think that's the sitemap for blogspot.com, am I right?

Also, i looked on the robots.txt and i found:

    User-agent: Mediapartners-Google
    Disallow:

    User-agent: *
    Disallow: /search

    Sitemap: [mysite-edited].blogspot.com/feeds/posts/default?orderby=updated

    What should I modify?
How do i find that robots.txt file in order to modify it ?
