keywords in url?

I found my niche keyword after much research and now I want to register a domain under that keyword. I am curious if the type of domain I purchase will effect my ranking. For example, is there any difference in ranking between .coms .orgs .info and so on? What about if it is a subdomain like the blogs on blogger (ie. www.hostname.blogspot.com)

First, no TLD (top-level domain) has more value than another. *.info can rank in search engines equally with lets say a *.com TLD. The reason certain TLDs are more prelevent is because they've been around so much longer, some by 15-20 years! So naturally the older TLDs will be more common in search results.

Using keywords in your domain name can provide some SEO value to your keywords. However since many #1 search results don't have keywords in their URL you can assume the value isn't that high. I would suggest one "main" keyword in your domain name.

I think it's not important. I choose the domain name with keyword according to my web project.

For example: I'm an italian web designer. My personal web site's domain name is my name and surname... and I have a very good positioning.
