My main motivation was to provide users with correct analysis of competition for entered keywords.

Do you think it is fulfilling its purpose?
Do you think i have named it right "Niche Keyword Competition Checker Tool"?

Very Nice - I like it. It runs a little on the slow side, though.

I would put some ads on it - it is going to run you alot in hosting bills!

In other words, a website about a specific, narrowly focused idea or keyword, rather than a broad, general, information website.
ie. AfricanGreyParrots.com is a niche website, where as wikipedia is not.

Nice tool you have there. Like the idea and domain name as well. Will definitely bookmark it and check it out from time to time.

By the way, as Caydel mantioned, it runs a little slow to me too.

It is little slow because of the nature of this tool. (if you think it can be made faster then how please?)
Because it has to wait for at least 22 different websites for responses so it is little slow.

 

Nothing wrong, in fact I like your tool too. It does, however, take a bit too long till it's done.

 

There is another reason of its little slowness because it has to count keyword from 20 different web pages.And you know these 20 web pages might be on slow servers.
This is reason of its slowness.

I have made clear why it has to be slow or i should skip keyword count feature.

 

I think you are misunderstanding what we are saying. I don't think it is necessarily a result of the programming, but possibly it may be a hardware issue. ie. Your server's bandwidth may not be enough to run it quickly, or your DB is a little slow, or just plain old not enough horsepower in the box.

What kind of server are you running it on? This kind of tool usually takes some dedicated hardware with a really quick connection to run with any sort of speed. Also, you may want to consider caching information of keywords checked and websites checked for a short period of time.

ie, for "bank loans" or other highly checked keywords, cache the results of the first quesry for two days, and just read the results out of the cache for subsequent queries. This will reduce alot of your load.

But definately a useful tool!

 

hmmm when it ran slow during my testins i was worried about the same thing "hardware".But after investigating i found it was solely because of "keyword count" command.
And it depends entirely on the hosting servers of 20 web pages.So sometime it takes more time than average.


More importantly data provided need some concentration and time of user to analyse what exactly is going on in competiton field of their niche keywords.

It really looks good idea to cache the results for two days.
