could be a number of things, it's a weekend, meaning sporadic traffic, but sounds more to me like google may be monitoring and/or slowing you down for QS. that would be pretty quick if they did though.

they certainly care, but like i said it's not like search where you need to deal with constantly changing good, great, poor QS, they just slow you down and then eventually give you 0 impressions.

turn off content and turn on search and see if you have all 10.00 min bids, if so, it's 99% likely one of the interns at big ol google who got slapped with a weekend shift just personally reviewed your campaign and set it to shut down

yeah the search keywords are all disabled but what would that have to do with anything i could just turn off the search network entirely and what are they trying to look for? i thought content and search had no relevance with each other.

well if you're search campaign is blasted with 10.00 bids it means someone was looking at your account, which means your whole account, content too.

there's a difference between getting reviewed and shut down and just launching something with poor QS, sounds like you got reviewed. buy a new domain, upload and begin again if it doesn't pick up..easy

    aj,

Thanks for the feedback. My intentions weren't to figure out what you do, but take your priceless advice and see what I could come up with. I do have a question for you though :) Just out of curiosity, is your method more involved (intricate, detailed) or simpler than the method I presented to you? Again, not trying to crack your campaign like b0z0, just wondering if I'm looking too much into your advice, or not enough.

The campaign was @ $0.40 max cpc, but I've since knocked it down to $0.15. Over 30 clicks and zero conversions, so far. I also added a few more ad groups so that should hopefully start bringing in the massive flow of traffic necessary for this to work.

Aj. Should I delete ad groups that aren't performing to maintain a better CTR? Also, what's considered a good CTR in the content network?

ctr isn't a quality score determining factor on content network, so if your ad group is sending you a nice volume of clicks that are hopefully converting i'd keep it

How do you guys go about systematically lowering your content network CPC? I'm down to .11 average cpc though I'm bidding 18. I have an average daily CTR of almost .5%, so I think I can lower a bit more and still get good positioning.

Any suggestions on how often and how much to lower CTR so as to not lose position but still get that cost down eventually?

honestly im doing pretty good with 17 cpc keywords they convert pretty good so i mean if your not getting good enough converts right now with 11 cpc i dunno what your gonna do.

also keep in mind it's very likely you both are in different niches so cpc isn't really relevant when trying to compare

Right, I mean, my campaign's converting, I'm just trying to increase margins by lowering cpc.

So AJ, did you let average CPC go down on its own as trust built in your campaign over time or did you continue to lower your max bid until you got to .09 average?

    Thanks.

Well, also try to go by Cost/Conversion... CPC is helpful, but ultimately its the Cost/Conv that's your #1 metric. If Cost/Conv is good, CPC doesn't matter...
