Holy Crap. I'm in an Article in FCW!!!

Federal Computer Week has an article about the Tech blogs on call
10 places to track the buzz in the blogosphere

Here's the link boys and girls: http://www.fcw.com/article92545-03-13-06-Print

Now this is a magazine and I might even be in it! Not sure. Hey would someone do me a favour? Can you check the latest issue of it and see?

    I'm #2 (alphabetical).

This what they said about my site:

Well, they obviously don't understand the web like we do. It's a lot harder than it looks to get a site out there in such a heavy market, but I'm crapping my pants anyway. This is the first time someone has actually done something like this. I guess I must be doing something right.

    Cool Thanks;

So far I think I've only had one hit. But if it does get published I might get way more.

I think it might go into the mag. It says: Wednesday, March 8, 2006 on the article but then it says: Published on Mar. 13, 2006.

That is the date of their next magazine. Hey if someone suscribes to FCW PLEASE grab it and scan me the page (if in fact appears in there). I'll even paypal you the cost of the mag.

Well, not much now. The hit was from the site. But if I'm in the magazine, I can assume that I'll be getting an increase in traffic.

The magazine is out on March 13th. This is their online print edition of the magazine (I'm assuming).

A good domain helps you out there I think... similar to Gizmodo... easy to pronounce, catchy, sounds "real" and professional. Congrats!

I had a site in Maxim best 100 of the web once.. nice type in traffic that month.

Congrats Skinny! The FCW site doesn't seem to be high trafficked, is it a well-known tech magazine?

It's funny they included StumbleUpon but not Engadget. And what's this, no HipTechBlog?! :D

Dunno what the Fox told you, but I think it is always a good idea to thank your traffic source and welcome the new visitors with a blurb on the homepage. If someone takes the time to type in your URL from the magazine, it is a nice reward to be greeted 'personally' on the site when you get there. "Welcome FCW readers!"

Alrite Hoff. I'll add that somewhere on the page. I'd really like it if someone could get the FCW mag for me.

I live in Canada and I'm not sure it even gets here.

Sigh- Little Gazotto, all grown up. I remember when you were soliciting advice for site names for that one. It seems like only yesterday.
    ;)

    Congrats, Skinny!

Yes, I do have to thank Mister Tut here.

I was wondering with which name to go with.

I had Mazotto.com Gazodo.com and others. He said Mazotto.com sounded like an open source rice dish (Mozilla + Rizotto). :)

He suggested Gazotto.com. Bingo. Thanks a lot man.
