    BTW Neil, I don't even think you should be posting in thread. If you read over this thread carefully, you would have noticed that AJ is using the content network and is paying about $.08 a click!! Not $2.00 a click! That's probably half the reason why your campaign failed.

    Great Thread AJ

    I had a question do you know if its possible to pass a {keyword} variable from the content network? I already do this on search but Iam not sure what it would use in the content network

    What do you mean by keyword variable? I might be interested in your blog network deal. Is that your website?

    yes {keyword} works and tells you which of your content network adgroup's keywords was used for the content network click... also {ifsearch:s}{ifcontent:c} outputs s or c depending on which network was used to get the click.

    Ok, I've read this thread from beginning to end, have several pages worth of notes and did a test campaign to test CTR rates and CPC stats, I ran several ad groups and the best looking one had the following stats and I'm just wondering if this is good or bad? 4583 impressions, 36 clicks, 0.79% CTR, avg CPC $0.06, cost $2.31. Nothing to purchase once landing on the site, as it was quickly put up and no affiliation at the time. Any input from anyone? Thanks.

    according to AJ's numbers, your CTR looks good if it was on the CN

    Most of the people reading this thread wouldn't know what to do with affiliate marketing if the answer reached out of the screen and punched them right in the face. :D

    I like that.

    If you do the math AJ is getting an average of about 1 out of every 100 people to purchase or signup for his service. This is actually a common goal for people in mail order.

    Regarding the CN and Positioning

    I'm bidding 0.40 on a keyword on the Content Network, and my average CPC for that keyword is only 0.04, but I'm only positioned at like number 6?

    How can I raise my position to be in the top 2 - increase my CN bid even further? Or something else?

    Great post!

    1 question.
    catfood-adgroup----->catfood landing page---->ringtones landing page--->ringtones merchant offer

    May I know if the catfood landing page and ringtones landing page are from different domain ? i.e. catfood.com for catfood landing page and ringtones.com for ringtones landing page. Or do you use 1 generic domain for catfood landing page and 1 domain for ringtones landing page
