    Hello,

One of my client's website is programmed in .CFM - I have never worked on it nor I know anything about it.

Is it SEO friendly? Is there a way to make it static? or is it already static?

    Rep to those who helps.

    Thank you

    regards,
    Zafar AHmed

cfm is cold fusion markup which is a commercial program and closed source. i'm not too familiar with it but it is mostly used for ecommerce sites with shopping carts and stuffs that usually incerts funny strings in the internal urls which is not search engine friendly.

.cfm is just cold fusion, another web language. It's no different than using .php or .asp. You'll have query strings on any of those languages unless you use some sort of mod-rewrite.

Ah, I just read an article on it. I think it is friendly as long as there is no session ID's or those stupid characters used in the URL.

    Thank you

Right. The server side programming language you use will have absolutely no bearing on your site's SEO as long as you stay away from session IDs and long query strings.

Not really, in my eyes, and no doubt others, you were specifically talking about Coldfusion. Dan broaden it out to all languages.
