Paypal Stole My Money

Discussion in 'PayPal' started by Blade991, Mar 11, 2008.

To make a long story short:

I have a visa debit card preloaded with 30$
I added it to my paypal account
    The 30$ magically vanished
Paypal said they had no record of the money
credit card company said Paypal has it
I send another email to paypal
    Paypal ignores
    I give up since it's only 30$'s....

    Beware of Paypal

I highly doubt PayPal stole your money.

It's either an error on your part, or theres a hold against the money right now because you just added the card.

Your short story doesn't prove anything nor does it even sound like PayPal could've "stolen" anything. They've never taken anything from me that wasn't there's.

It was 3 months ago, Lol. I have verified PP and bank account attached.... The only thing I did with the card was add it to Paypal...I just checked again for the first time in 3 months on my CC website it's still 0.

    I'm just saying...beware of paypal..

PayPal wouldn't take $30 for just adding the card. There's nothing to beware of, since there has to be more to it then what you have stated.

Honestly, could not think what else there could be to this story,

It was probably a mix up on Paypal's end of the deal. They have no record of the money though so they will NOT refund me, My credit card statement doesn't even have a transaction to PP just

    Load 30$
    ----no transactions-----
    Balance: 0$

The only thing I did was add it to Paypal...somewhere somehow someone has 30$ of mine..and all I did was add it to Paypal..
Credit Card Company said the money went to Paypal, They could not explain why there was no transaction statement..

Oh wow, your real nice.....I am just saying of a odd occurence with Paypal that happened...god knows Paypal does much worse to other users..A simple google search should reveal that..

*Do you all work for Paypal or something to act so PRO PP lol..

It was maybe a glitch in the system, if it did really happen.
I am sure they wouldn't steal your $30 on purpose.

It just doesn't sound right for PayPal to just take exactly the amount pre-loaded on your card; [sarcasm]Hey! Maybe they sat down, and took the time to do appear to your bank as you, and take the exactly amount from your card [/sarcasm]

PayPal wouldn't just take money out of your account without your approval, or if you have some sort of case on your account. Maybe you should contact your bank and ask them what makes them think it is a charge from PayPal.

    I believe you!
    Paypal also stole my money!

A family member owed me £200 so he sent it through paypal just to make things "easier." Well because paypal froze his account due to he couldn't prove his address as he typed in his street name wrong, they figured they would also freeze the £200 going into my bank account.

After about 2 months of waiting for the investigation to end they reversed the money to his paypal account. Now its stuck in limbo!

    Thanks alot paypal!
