    Hey guys,

I run a gadget blog, but before that I ran a similar blog that had a different name and a .blogspot.com domain name. It is currently PR5.

Now I got an e-mail from a blog that i link exchanged to that asked if they could basically take over posting the blog. I don't use the old one anymore and have basically said that I moved it to the new domain.

Now, do I just hand over the reigns or do I ask for money?

    How much?

Can I even ask for money in this case?

How should my reply look like?

The site makes roughly less then $5- 8 per month because the traffic just isn't there anymore.

    Thanks,

    Skinny

    Wow that high. Nice.

So how do I tell him this without him going "whoa . . .no thanks." What should I reply?

I also should mention that the site isn't even a year old.

    Does that affect the price?

Before you decide to hit them high, you have to think about the fact that he is the only known prospective buyer at this time so you run the risk of them saying 'no, thanks' and then you're stuck

Well, no and its just my opinion. I think that since he is interested he probably plans to use the fact the site is a PR5 and even if he sells those pr 5 links at $5 /mo he can make that into $50/month... Plus skinny mentioned when updated the site was doign quite well in adsense..

PR is worthless, in my opinion. I have a site that's a PR4 and I get a measily average number of visitors: 4.89/day, makes about 15 cents a month with adsense

How is it you are able to calculate the effect PR has on your actual income?

I would just say..."I would like the site go if someone would give me a little spending money" and see what kind of offer they make. That would kind of feel them out and see what they are willing to spend without running them off.

Put it officially on sale here and see how it goes, I think a few of us are interested. I like gadgets :D

Or has the PR5 and content gone to the new blog, I can't quite grasp what is happening here..

Well, you have to understand that that site was a stepping stone. I was a real newbie. I got some traffic at the time, but then stepped up to a higher ground.

1 Question: How do you make 15 cents with no traffic in 4 days?

BTW: The Bidding is in this thread: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=62983

um...i wasn't referring to your site, Skinny. :) but i'll answer your question anyway. no-traffic meaning about 10 uniques a day. :D so in 4 days i get a click or two from random people.

Apparently flash games sites don't make much with adsense - my average income per click is pathetic at best
