SEO practitioners use DMOZ still as it provide a strong backlink for you if you are one of those lucky guys to be indexed. Otherwise I don't see why anyone should visit. I used to visit it as it is well categorized and when the search engines aren't that advance. Nowadays with Google, no reason why I should still go to DMOZ.

Lost interest in dmoz as it is very difficult to get included in the list. Consider yourself really lucky if you find your link there;)

Used it once, never really got into it. I guess you can say it's losing interest since its so hard to get listed in. Good backlink if you do happen to though.

To be honest I don't think anyone really uses a general directory to find sites. Business and other niche directories will be browsed a lot, but for a general directory vs google fight they stand little chance.

The user loves dmoz directory. Webmasters doesn't see the value to have link there. Nowadays it's more important to have a good place in search engines.

Yeah, dmoz is way too general in my opinion. there's tons of sites (like craigslist) which are much better. out with the old and in with the new i say.
