Expired domain still not available?

    Hi,

    A domain registration expired on the 21st of February 2008, why is it still not available for someone else to register? There is also another domain which expired on the 28th of February which is still unavailable.

    Why can't they be registered if the current registration has expired?

    might still be in the "grace period?"

    might be going to auction?

    backorder from GODADDY or SNAP - might have a chance at it... IMHO

    Grace period is around 30 days and then deletion period 70 days approx.

    i grabbed an expired domain a few years ago...

    i back ordered it thru godaddy.com, godaddy happened to grab it (it was reg. there by the previous owner), it went to auction at TDNAM.com and because i had a back order on it, i had an automatic bid of $10 on it.

    no one else bid (LOL), so i got it for the back order price of $18.99

    P.S. i'm no expert in expired domains, i got lucky. :)
