Did you? please quote this I have one credit card there and was thinking of adding another one, but a bit afraid.. so is there any better way to fund your paypal account, except the wire transfer?
I've got a credit card and a debit card attached to my account. Although I've not had to fund it in a long time. I've never been afraid.
I had someone hack my account once and make two charges. I had a refund within 24 hours for both charges. Any complaints I have had about services not delivered have resulted in me getting my money back. Payments to my bank account have never had a problem... and I've used the service for business and personal. I have heard of larger merchants getting shut down by paypal but the small business /personal user shouldn't have a problem with them.
Never. In fact, I almost never buy from people who demand payment by PayPal because you sometimes need to create accounts to buy and they want far too much financial information. I went the other route and got a proper credit card processing account with InternetSecure.
clancey, I'd be happy not using paypal, but everyone else demands it.. is there any way around it? If you buy, you still have to pay with pay..
People still don't get the power they have over their credit cards. It's probably the SAFEST method of paying. Even if you gave a copy of the card to 100 people, you are still in charge. Just check your statements regularly. As soon as you see something suspect, do a chargeback. No questions asked, the onus will be on the merchant who took the money to proof it was a legit transaction you requested. You have the power. Don't be afraid.
sounds too good to be true, strangely I never tried any chargebacks, though I should have several times.. Is it as easy and you do it online form your bank account or go to your bank/cc company? Besides that, if the person who got the payment from you proves the payment was legit, even though you tried the charge back, what happens..? Sorry I'm so n00b in some things I'm even ashamed
So you have a additional CreditCard...Hmmmm..buddy, feel free to add it my paypal account *flowers-for-you* you are the best man..you are the best..
You ring up your bank, normally the number is printed on the card. Just say you want a chargeback since you didn't authorize the transaction. Done. Takes less than 2 minutes. Then the pain starts for us merchants, having to digg out proof the customer actually requested the transaction or has received the product.
PayPal no longer requires the payor to sign up for an account to make a payment using their system. And its the easiest, quickest way for businesses to take payment online.
Paypal is not very good handling the charge backs. Paypal would ask from both parties with proofs about their transactions. They will study the case themselves (which takes long time), in the meantime they would limit your account (that means you cannot send money to another paypal or transfer money to your savings account). And their ruling is final. Whosoever they find guilty, they will close their account and as they already limit their account, so the person did not(cannot) transfer money to another paypal or bank a/c they will just keep all your money and give you nothing. Paypal sux when it comes to charge backs. It has happened to me. They took away my $700 and closed my 2 year old account. And i was not at fault. I added one card to my paypal account, without adding that I wouldnt be able to complete as many transactions as I want.
I have 3 CC's in my pp account. 2 Visa 1 Mastercard. I spend them all most of the months Their total limit is like 1.000$. Nothing wrong with adding multiple cc's to paypal i guarantee that. add me to your sig please / don't quote this hehe
I have one CC and one debit card. Best of both worlds. I use the debit if my Paypal account balance is low and the purchase is small, and the CC for larger purchases.
