Ok Guys im new to this as I say so dont know what I have to do, I have followed instructions on my previous post heres what I did, Do my meta tags (Title, Description, Keywords) Got 2 PR2 BackLinks My Blog was made today so How long should I take to get on google. Should It be on? If yes why isnt it? and how do I get it on? Sorry for all the questions just ym primary traffic source is going to be on google and having the top ranking for my 2 keywords!
It may take a while, depends how quickly Google's spiders find and index your site. You could speed it up by using Google’s Webmaster Tools.
You have a l o o o n g way to go. You took the first step getting your meta tags set up assuming you did keyword research. Getting indexed isn't going to be your problem or shouldn't be it's ranking well for you keyword phrase. Two backlinks isn't going to cut it, you need to build backlinks consistently over time. You need to build thousands of backlinks possibly hundreds of thousands of backlinks depending on your keyword competition. You can get site indexed fast if you get it link from a site that gets spidered alot by google. You will need alot of links to move up in serp so work on getting more back links
If you are using blogspot you'r blog should be on google farly quickly. blogspot blogs tend to be indexed real quick.
I think my site has now been indexed? When I search site:www.mydomain.com It is showing 11 results, Is this good, Also I have submitted a sitemap so should this improve my site ranking?
It's a tool not a program and it's used to help you determine the number of times a specific keyword or phrase is searched for in various search engines.
Just keep building back links and adding fresh content. It can take up to two weeks to get listed but will most likely be quicker. If it is the site in your signature, you took a good step in putting it there. I have compiled a list of free directories that you can submit to that will help with link building. There many other articles on taht blog taht may help you. Just keeping working on the blog and do not expect instant results. It takes time but it is worth it when the blog becomes a success. I think of link exchanges as a form of payment. If their site is really really worth it, yeah I'll do it. But I try to be creative about it. I don't want some dumb banner awards on my site. I'd rather give them a short review with a link back to their site. If I want a small local business to link to me, I'll write them a testimonial for their website. That works for me pretty well. Small business owners love and need testimonial reviews and it lets me get away with not having to link back to them. Just keep reading man. Buy a few books, watch some SEO videos on youtube. Study study study. You'll get it. Just be careful not to believe everything you read on these forums. Lots of disinformation and BS.
