Has Digital Point Been Sold??

Rumors are this site has or is in the process of getting sold is this true?

 

I haven't heard anything about DP being sold...

 

The rummer of it going around is probablly true!

Its not being sold anytime soon. (Or Shawn would say something about it)

Hi ... given the clean up, that is, no more VCCs or vote exchanging and the increasing frequency of infractions, without reason, something is going on. A sale seems a likely possibility. Wonder who'd buy a forum? More than a year ago, the NY "Times," in a story on Hogan, reported DP earned more than $10,000 a month from google, alone (16 January 2006). That would likely make DP worth around $300 thousand. Did you polish the last car you sold, before you sold it? Bet ya did.

As in, heh, maybe the Digital Point that's been logging in as of late isn't the real Shawn, but an evil alien twice that has taken the guise of the normal DP owner to bring the hight hand of vengeance upon all scammers and spammers within the BST!
I would like to see the source of the rumor though...

 

The source does not matter. But if this site has been sold or in the process some of these moderators need to layoff the infraction key. Man you wont believe how many I have received from silly "down the book" rules. Rules are Rules I have no problem abiding by them but half the points we lose are from "controversial" strikes. No one like me or other legit posters here try to skid by them.

The source is from a gentleman I spoke to on the phone yesterday and is a very respectful member. I guess the best way to find the true answer is to ask Shawn myself.

Hi ... "nowarningsneeded" clearly labeled his question as seeking an answer to a rumour. All rumours are lies, until confirmed or refuted. He or she only asked for confirmation or refutation. Come on, half the continent is under mile-high piles of snow and it's a legitimate question on a house-bound night or any night, for that matter. The responses are hilarious.
