AdSense and New Domain

Discussion in 'AdSense' started by coolvision, Mar 8, 2008.

I just got registered new domain and I want to add Google AdSense ads on it. But after registration I found on internet that someone hold this domain name in the year of about 2004. But now a days its available for registration so I got it.

My confusion is that I am worry about if this domain name was not a Google AdSense banned and I dont want to take a risk. So, please plz suggest me what I do. I emailed at about three days ago, but no response. Plz suggest if there is any other adsense address where I can apply for domain review.

    Waiting for your reply,

Just apply for the account, the max they can do is reject your application.

I already have AdSense account and I want to run adsense ads on this newly registered domain. On which I doubt if it was a adsense banned domain.

If you already e-mailed them just wait... you already have done the best you could (instead of sitting and researching the domain--which wouldn't give you the direct answer you'd be looking for).

If it was a fresh reg with a 2008 date you should be fine in the case it was previously banned.

Yes I got register it on 22 Feb 2008, but after registring and launching site I found that a person talked on a forum about such domain web site reviews and people also replied about the site. ( thread Year was 2004).
However at some sites providing information about expired sites I found this domain expired in Jan 2007 http://deactivatedon.com/new/com_070101_0043.html (this domain listed here).

this is so easy to find out and you don;t have to wait days to hear form adsense. just get your site up and use the adsense preview tool to see what kind of ads will be served on that site. if ads show, then the site is not banned.

Usually, if you change whois info and DNS settings, its safe to run new Adsense ID on it. Before doing anything, Google will check who WAS the owner and who IS the owner. Since you are unrelated to previous owner, you got nothing to worry about.

This is wrong. Adsense will show on a banned site. Ad units from banned Adsense account will not show on a website.

I would not worry so much about it being banned. It is highly unlikely that it is.
