Should I Shut Down My Forum?

I'm considering on shutting down my forum at www.HelpBloggers.com and replacing it with a better idea. It doesn't seem like bloggers are really interested in talking about blogging. I honestly figured out how to blog before I even tried it. This makes me feel like this forum really doesn't have a purpose. Do you think I should shut it down or let it sit for a few weeks?

There are many forums about blogging already, yours is just another one that's why it isn't taking off. If you didn't invest any money on it just make another site. If you did you can always try sell it :D

Hmmmmmmmmm...............I honestly really want to shut it down and go for my other idea. If any of you guys have been watching my signature you probably noticed how many ideas I've started and shut down in the past couple of days. Most of you probably think I'm an indecisive idiot that can't make up his mind.

Whaaaaaat? You mean having contests and a signature didn't work?

    Shocking!

    :D

If you didn't give it a chance, and you like the idea behind it, keep working it.

If you quit this, what will you quit next? And then next, and then next....

Days? You don't allow your sites to even start being popular!

I think that projects like that should be allowed more time, not just waiting for traffic to come in by itself, rather, marketing it.

It's never going to work, unless you're extremely lucky.

    BTW, good luck!

    Yep, close it down.

Why? You just thinking about it means you are already losing the motivation to carry on, so its better if you give up and start on another project rather then wasting time.

I think I'll take your advice. The motivation for HelpBloggers.com is not coming naturally which means that the idea is not for me.

The domain is only four days old. That's young even in dog years. What did you expect to happen? Do something you enjoy and stick to it.

I guess I was just really depressed when I bought the domain. I've been messing with the internet for 3 years and really haven't earned anything significant. My best earnings were $450 a week from selling ebooks on Ebay. I'm sure many of you have generated much more impressive earnings.

Earning $450 a week on the internet isn't bad.... Trust me, many members on this forums wish they could earn $100 per week.

You need to come up with a unique idea. A forum also needs to be hosted on a site that gets a lot of traffic. Sometimes I come up with something that does not work then I immediately can it. It is part of the testing process so do not feel bad.

Don't just shut it down. If you have the domain, and a custom forum template for it, I'd say sell it. Atleast make some money off it.

That was fantastic, I never even come close to that. Impressive, you should really continue in Ebay.
