Hey guys, I'd like to share with you how my new site is doing.

I launched it just 3 days ago. I didn't add content until the 2nd day. On the 3rd day (yesterday) I achieved 300 uniques! I haven't had such a good start with a website before and hopefully the traffic keeps increasing!

    Here's what I done:

+ Add useful info to my site's topic at Wikipedia (referencing to my site)
+ Post in forums related to my site's topic (include link in sig)

Those 2 are currently my biggest sources of traffic and starting just now, I'm starting to get some hits from Google (I didn't submit my site to search engines yet). As you can see, I spent $0!!!

If you guys have some tips for me, it would be much appreciated! :D

Well basically, find some topics that your site covers at Wikipedia. i.e. if you have a website a cars, find some Wikipedia pages about cars and add some useful information. Then you can reference it back to your website. Quite a lot of people click on these references so you will get targeted traffic.

    Here is how:

When you edit a Wikipedia page, they want you to reference where you got the info.

So find content on your website which you can add to that Wikipedia page (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sardarji_jokes).

Then reference by adding the reference code right after the sentence(s) you added. Here is the reference code:

Change the name, URL, title, publisher, and accessdate.

Once you do that, your link will appear at the References section (at the bottom of the Wikipedia entry).

Remember, you want to add USEFUL info. If people think you're spamming, they'll delete the reference.

That should get you quality traffic everyday.
