SERP Bouncing, any Fixes?

I've finally got to the 1st page on a consistent basis after 9 months of web SEO work about three weeks ago.

My rankings fluctuate from #4 to #10 for my Florida Bass Fishing site and can be at 4 in the morning, then show up as 10 in the afternoon or vice versa. It usually just doesn't gradually drop or rise, but is instantaneous to these two extremes.

Any clues what's causing this as my content building is pretty steady and my link development is steady as well. Any suggested remedies? My competition doesn't seem to be adding much to their sites to cause this. All suggestions are greatly appreciated!

That is completely normal and happens to all of us. Just ride it out each day, expecting fluctuations. They will average out.

BTW, Sarasota is one of my all-time favorite places. :) My parents had a condo facing directly onto Lido Beach for 17 years. Some of our greatest vacations were there. Sensational fishing, too.

I like Sarasota, except during the hurricane season. Nice area with minimal traffic and nice beaches, although I'm a fresh water fisherman and often venture inland.

Lido is great as well as Siesta. Can't beat the atmosphere in downtown either. Thanks again.

    Rep coming your way!!!

Different data centers show different results, unless you have specified the data center, you don't know if it is accurate.

As stated, fluctuations are very normal. Be careful as to not build links too fast, and make sure you are getting quality relevant links to offset any type of lower quality links (if applicable).

MJewel, Got some green coming at you as well.

I do use a multiple datacenter check. The "Big Daddy" centers usually show the change 1st, then it migrates across the net. I just checked again and I was shocked to see my site #1 at Big Daddy center at http://64.233.179.104 keywords Florida Bass Fishing as of 9:20 PM this evening. Hope it migrates quickly. I just can't quite figure out why, what and how Google works once in the top ten? But I'm happy with even just making #1 for a little while :D

Its normal, happens to me all the time. Happening quite frequently for last couple of weeks though. Don't forget others are also aiming for that same no.1 position and only one can get that.

I noticed that #1-2 sites don't usually have that issue

Yeah it's normal - that's been happening with our hardest keyword now for a month. I hope when it's done playing, it settles down at number #4 or #3!!!

I'm happy that last night I got #1 for Florida Bass Fishing, even if it's only temporary. Highest it's ever been (knock on wood). Hopefully it doesn't drop off to never never land cause I still don't get Googles algorithm. Must be doing some things right though :D
