Total loss...had been scammed very badly.. and lost all my hope in earning anything

Ahh hello people today i would like to tell you my sad story.

well i am a teenager from india studying in high school . i am having hard problems at home as my parents dont earn much. however, i saved enough to get a webhosting and get my blog up and running. however due to my lack of knowledge i wasnt able to attract much traffic find content and earn money as expected.

soon enough i was looking for help and i was befriended by a guy who agreed to help me. soon we became good friends. whenever i used to ask him something that he usually BOASTED of i never got a reply back. but soon enough we had a healthy informal relationships that friendship and yeah.. one day he wanted my hosting password i said no at first but then gave him my account password . soon i realised that the guy had taken over my money from egold and everything and even had changed my password of email account which all were same.i dont know who to contact how to contact as i bought hosting from a guy on yahoo and i didnt see him around for a while now. now i suffer heavy losses.

however after facing such issues i am still not given heart though i still wanna earn but this time in a proper way. but i STILL dont know how.. i dont have much of money for putting in my webhosting now i am completely broken into pieces i dont know what to do next. i am trying to learn php but i am having my exams .
i am totally lost . please can someone teach me something so that i can earn a bit and not be a burden on my parents?

i am striving hard to learn.

Sorry to hear about your troubles. I have 3 suggestions.

1) As you now know, don't ever give out important information like you username / password to anyone. If you have to do something like this make sure you have control over the situation.

2) Also as you now know, do not use the same password for different accounts. Use a different one for each account. Change them from time to time as well. Do a Google search and read up on picking good passwords and about password security.

3) Start with a free service like Blogger.com. You can set up a free blog there and get yourself started at no cost. Learn what you are doing and then consider how to spend money later on.

Added: Also look in the buy/sell section at this site and see how other people are making money offering services, like directory submissions, article writing etc. You can do these things yourself and with no money.

I'm an affiliate of a site that offers free hosting. I'm kind of sick today, and my brain is kind of mooshy right now, but I seem to remember that its against the rules to post an affiliate link. techjunkies the site has been already played with it to much that guy has banned my hosting by putting some warez thingy and they refunded payment to my paypal which is again gone... i feel like killin myself

I'm really sorry to hear about that, mate. I'll tell ya what. I'll give you free hosting. =] I run my own hosting company but I know how nasty it is when people scam you like that. PM me if you're interested, dude.

Never mind the scam, learn your lessons and move on.

Don't trust strangers or web-only-friends, as far as possible with sensitive info and money matters.

Never give out your passwords. Keep them in a secret place. I suggest doing some forum posting jobs, start a blog, in which you're very interested in. Also, study hard. Don't think of depending on online income for life. A degree or qualification always helps.

There are many ways to make money online... But, it requires lots of effort. NO Pain, NO Gain.

You are still a student and its very important that you are learning your lessons @ very young age!

Its hard to trust people online. I've had a similar problem. Put me out 150 dollars, but thats chump change, so no biggie. For you I can understand it might be a harder situations.
