I only buy CD's, then put them on my computer. Unless it's free to download legally (which is the case for some bands that arn't as famous, they release some songs for free).

I like to have the CD's as well, it means if my hard-drive gets wiped somehow I still have the music.

I still buy CD's, I try to support the artists I like. Once and a while I will buy a few songs from iTunes. I currently have about 400+ CD's in my collection, which is constantly growing.

Oh really? Then tell me why certain bands that are especially in ROCK music have 2 hit records and are stil traveling around in VANS!!!! If you made cabinets and people thought they deserved them because they're made of wood, would you feel the same way? YOU CREATED THE CABINET! Who cares if you can get it for free? THAT IS BOGUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Guess you don't like rammstein for some reason.
Music transcends all boundaries. There is no gay or straight music.

No I didn't mean it like that, I was confused because you said you were a fellow rammstein fan, but you couldn't find a rammstein CD near your house, all you can have is pop bands, girl band CD's, etc (thats what I was calling gay) lol, sorry for the confusion. :)

    No worries.

The stores only sell popular cd's and music genre's that everyone's into.

The people who like niche bands or indie bands or bands who's cd's aren't easily and widely available, have no option but to get it off the internet.

I still buy CD's. I love my music, and if I'm buying albums I want something tangible. However, are times where I'll only want one song, and I don't mind paying for one track.

This isn't always easy. I live in the UK, and am therefore restricted to downloading songs off of iTunes from the UK online store. Sometimes the song I'm looking for won't be on the UK site, but WILL be on the US site. This has frustrated me so many times. It's the same with amazon.com - they've got an mp3 section only on the US site, and I can't download from there either

CD's are stupid, it has and always will be a rip off. You got some band that puts on 3 good songs and then fills the rest with junk, absolutely horrible songs. So I basically just paid 20$ for 2-3 good songs? F-that if the CD's were worth buying, then I would buy them.

Your just buying the wrong cds then.... I buy a couple cd's every week and also download a bunch aswell. I usually go to a local record shop (Vons Records) instead of Best Buy or circuit cd because they have a better selection of music that I like......

Also I have a cd on order right now thats 30$ and I only know 1 song on it and the rest are by people ive never heard of, hopefully it wont be shit.

I don't mind the prices as much as when they re-release a 'special edition' a few months down the line. It doesn't happen as much on CD than it does on DVD but it does annoy me, to the point that I now rarely buy DVD's.
