Cheapest Domain Names with No Catches

Discussion in 'Domains' started by websiteideas, Mar 3, 2006.

Yahoo seems to be the cheapest at the moment with 2.99 domain names and nothing else you have to buy. Does anyone else even come close at the moment? I know dotster just recently had a $1 domain offer that lasted for only 1 hour. But, how about any new domain promotions that you would like to share? Please don't post any that you have to buy something else in order to get the deal.

That's right, no catch. Some may argue they have inferior service and support, but I don't know if that's true.

In 1/2 hour you can get a .com, .org, or .net from dotster for $.50.

About yahoo. That $2.99 domain is only for NEW customers and that also for only one domain. It does not allow bulk registration. Though I am happy to see that they allow registration for 5 years at the same price.

Ya, you can lock that price in for 5 years which can really add up to a $25+ savings when you compare it to the $8+ most registrars want to charge.

If you're a registerfly customer you probably had to check or uncheck the newsletter feature when you were making the registration. I don't know where it is now, but it's just a matter of "deep" searching and you'll find out :)

Look at ipowerweb if you don't mind to provide your credit cards details to get a reponse 3 hours later saying that you need to fax documents to verify your information before they can register your names, and bear in mind they do no work on weekends so probably you will get such reply by Monday or Tuesday

Many of the domain registrars with the prices below $5 are trying to sell
something otherthan the domain itself. Be careful of what you are buying since these type packages include other services that much be purchased in order ot secure that price!

Just learned that Globat is selling .com's for $1.95. That's the lowest price with nothing else to buy as far as I know.
