    Hi,

    My website has lost the ranking on 'buddha statues", it was ranked at position 3 on google but suddenly i am lost... can any one tell me why that can be possible.

    First, this is the nature of Google as I said not once, you may raise up fast, then sink down if the site is new. But if this is an old site, and you lost some rankings so fast the first thing you need to do is to check the site accessability, maybe something is wrong with the domain or redirections (must be 301) and then your position will be flipped-out.

    If Cormac's assessment was correct and your site was down for a while, then that would/could certainly be the problem. And a problem that could take a while to correct on it's own.

    My host once had issues with the server going down. The crap happened for about 15 minutes once or twice a day. Shortly after, I lost some SERP, and a month later my PR dropped. heh, I also lost a DMOZ listing...

    I of course changed hosts, and I have my SERP & ODP listing back. However, it looks like I'll need to wait till the next google update for the PR.
