    Could be many things Claira.

Maybe an editor found that it was submitted & placed in the "wrong" category after a "tip" and corrected the mistake. WE could speculate all day long. Did you contact DMOZ (almost futile). If its not up in a few months merely resubmit.

No need to contact anyone. Just read their terms and conditions and you'll see why does your site was not listed in their directory.. Hehe:D

Just ignore it and keep going on with life, contacting Dmoz won't do much help. I really doubt they will reply to you in the first place.

DMOZ used to be the one that everyone must get in. But you can only try your best and pray that you get admitted, emailing them why you are not in or why you are out will never get a reply, at least from experience.

don't worry about it! dmoz is a useless directory mismanaged by people with nothing to live for except the little power they have at dmoz, which they love to wield arbitrarily.

disclosure: i was a dmoz editor for six months :D

I won't say it is useless, being in DMOZ helps your ranking, but it is just difficult to submit or get anything answered. So I would say just try your best shot and keep moving. Do not keep looking back and see if you are there.

I think some of the editors are corrupt. I've been trying for 18 months to get listed in the printing category.

DMOZ has some of the most corrupted editors, no doubt about that.
I remember one guy here not long ago trying to get listed for something like 6 years and still no luck...
    That's crazy!
