For those of you who run vB forums I highly recommend the Hellcat page compressor mod. It takes the empty lines of code out of the vB code as it presents it to your browser. I’ve noticed a significant improvement to my forum’s load time. You can get it here: http://www.vbulletin.org/forum/showthread.php?t=106333&highlight=HELLCAT's+Realtime+Page+Compressor
It's a good mod for those that don't care about what the HTML looks like. I, on the other hand, do care because I like to see the structure for what I'm changing in the theme and stuff like that, but otherwise -- yes, great mod!
It's an excellent mod. I was doing something similar to some degree on my own, but this one looks more complete.
I have a ton of mods on my board (see my signature) and I haven't had any issues. As always you need to test it in your test forum first to be 100% sure.
How do you think it stands up to this one: http://www.vbulletin.org/forum/showthread.php?t=107615 Which One is better? Ive just included an article about how to Optimize Your vBulletin Forum To Run Faster on the new site I am building, vBulletin-FAQ - Opinions? The server load question is a good one.....
Good catch Nintendo! I'll have to go try this one now. It also looks like the same developer did something similar with his Plug in Accelerator here http://www.vbulletin.org/forum/showthread.php?t=107315 Now I'll have to go check both out.
Well, duh.. looking at the source, it appears you did. It was noticable on my end  I thought you upgraded hardware.
I would also like to hear some results on using this. I have been considering it as well but I am concerned about CPU load server side.
