My blog has been live for about 2 months now and yet when I go to Google Webmaster Tools and look up my site, there are no top search queries for the site. All it says is, "Data not available at this time. Check back later." This is what it says every day. Wouldn't it show some kind of ranking for some keywords since the site is over 2 months old? What's stranger is that a "site:" check on yahoo reveals 40-something inbound links while Google has only 1...my home URL. What's going on here?
You're not really being "penalized". You're just starting off in their sand box. Keep getting inbound links and wait until they decide to take you out of the sandbox. That's all you can do, really...besides getting very high PR backlinks.

Your not penalized. If you are penalized so if you chceked your domain that nothing is indexed. Your site is in sandox after news site boost. You may need to get high pr backlinks
