OK, I am currently working on a guitar tabs site. All urls are SEO'd, and I was wondering if it was good to make different meta tags for each tab page. Like, the homepage would have meta tags, then /band-download-songname.html would have separate meta info, depending on the guitar tab. Good or bad idea? Thanks.
To take that one step further, you should have unique h1, h2 tags, meta keywords, meta description, and page titles on every page. Remember, these things should describe what that page is about, not what your site in general is about - so every single one should be different.
yep. If you have the time better create unique metas for each. some will argue that won't have any effect SEOwise, but I believe it's good practice and would be beneficial for your users. cheers.
I'm in the process of doing similar now, on a 50 page website. Each page needs <h1>, <h2>, custom meta tags, descriptions and page titles. Its more time consuming than I thought it would be, but hopefully putting the time in to carefully select the info for each page will pay off with better serps results.
Thanks, the site will have over 120,00 pages, each with unique content, SEO'd urls, unique h1 tags, unique meta tags, unique meta description, and unique title. (most automated ) Ill add some green 4 u
I think tabs will be appeared by using java script, and java scripts ignored by search engines, therefor there is need not to create separate metas for each tag.
If you want each page of your site to be indexed in compliance with content of that page, that it' very good idea to make individual keyword reach meta tags for each page.
The important thing is URL which google consider becuase meta tags, title tags, description tags are not so important for google but it should not be avoided. Heading tags, content, keyword all are necessary which will help your visitors and get poistion in serps but how the URL is ? is it only with numbers and symbols or it contains the keywords are also necessary and that google considers.
