    Public stumble exchange threads were a bad idea from the start, spam hunters from stumbleupon were well aware of the threads and it gave them a handy list of URLs to penalize. I learned this when I was checking stats and found their forum with my site mentioned and a link to a DP thread.

    They are also wise to the stumble services offered for sale here so be wary of posting your links if you use those.
