I want to start blogging about something in a language and also want to have a version in a different one.

How would you guys do that?

    Thanks for any input...

    :)

    Thank you!

But my problem is what to do exactly, a post in a language and the following one in another or 2 different blogs or whatelse...

    Anybody with the same problem?

    :)

I was thinking a lot about blogging in two languages. It can be nice, becouse you can get twice more pages indexed and more incommings.

Translating your own post from one lang. to another is not a lot of work as I belive. For sure it is less work then blogging on two diffrent blogs.

I have been searching for the engine which can give me multi languages option and found nothing. That is why I am working on own Blog engine now.I expect it to be ready in two months. I can let you know if you would like to be beta tester :)

Yeah, the translation wouldn't be a problem.

The problem is exactly what you said, having to manage 2 separate blogs.

That's why I was looking for something like what you are working at, I suppose.

Yes, please let me know when you're ready!

Unless something comes up before, I suppose you are the only one that can help. I am just amazed that it's not a more common problem...

    Thanks!

    :)

I don't have the same problem but from my point of view, is better to have 2 separate blogs. Why? Because 50% of the content will be ignored for the people that don't understand one of the languages.

I'm guessing you'll be blogging in english, and in your "mother language". Imagine the english people that don't know your "mother language" having to scroll every time they can't read/understand a post... :(

Emperor, did you saw or write that post? Just kidding... tuga power! ;)

In the mean time I found out about some plugins, such as the Basic Bilingual and the Language picker. They say that the former is good for posting randomly in 2 different languages, while the latter is better if using both.

There are others, I'll let you know...

And thanks Emperor, I'll read that too!
