Hello, Im new to these forums but i have a simple seo question. Im in the process of completing my marketing degree and my final stage is the 'online' area of marketing. I think this is the area i wish to work in, in coming years but its very confusing. I have done lots of reading but im no expert and i dont try to be one. For my assignement i selected the 'travel' industry online. I picked a well known company and used there web site as my topic. However looking at its competition i found the following site that ranks well on all search engines ... cooptravelshop.co.uk I studied this site and compared it to my main site. I needed to compare about 6-10 sites for my assignment and then i found sundeal.co.uk The 2 sites above are the same? both have there own google page rank and both rank very well? From my readings this is breaking the search engine rules? am i correct? can someone help me out?

From what you've given, yes this is a breach of all the SE's rules, hell, their even on the same IP! :angry: http://www.google.com/support/webmasters/bin/answer.py?answer=66359 is the page from the big G's official rule book detailing duplicate content and what they should be doing. But I am really suprised the big G especially has missed this...
